Cardiovascular diseases, metabolic disorders and obesity are a serious threat to civilization, especially in highly developed countries. Due the number of deaths complications they among health priorities Poland. The aim study is review literature on role functional food primary prevention cardiovascular diseases. Functional food, thanks its antioxidant, hypocholesterolemic anti-inflammatory properties, has beneficial effect lowering blood pressure, cholesterol levels, inhibiting LDL oxidation or platelet aggregation. It necessary promote this type because action significant impact various cardiovascular, diet-related civilization. Proper nutritional education way improve human potential health. Therefore, it worth educating order these products increase interest them as well raise awareness society.
